- Firefill is a versatile Intumescent fire protection foam material that provides highly effective passive fire protection for a broad range of applications including mass transport applications like buses, aircraft and trains as well composite fabrications and gap filing in infrastructure and construction projects where specific controlled fire performance is required.
- Firefill is classed as an Intumescent foam, it expands as a result of heat exposure to provide passive fire protection. The foam will expand uni-directionally by up to 12 times its original thickness when it is exposed to temperatures in excess of 190°C. The result of this expansion is a thick insulating char, which significantly reduces the rate of degradation of underlying materials by insulating them from the heat energy.
