Explosion Proof Motors are designed for industry safety in hazardous areas to be able to withstand damage which could be caused by an internal explosion as well as prevent flames from propagating on the exterior. Our Explosion Proof materials include various forms of UL94V0 rated neoprene and silicones to suit your requirements. These materials meet and exceed ATEX and IECEx standards↵ and have been independently tested to ensure they surpass levels required for hazardous area zones 1 and 2 use. Our seals and gaskets are UL 60079-0 and IEC 60079 compliant. They have fully passed the UV resistance and environmental tests and our certification also extends to our shaft seals, V rings, O Rings, and mouldings for Explosion Proof Motors. Should you wish to protect also protect electronics we can design a combination environmental and intumescent seal or gasket for the Explosion Proof Motors.
Our seals and gaskets are perfect for low voltage Explosion Proof Motors, high voltage Explosion Proof Motors, and underground mine flameproof motors.
