331 – Ethylene Acrylate (EA, AEM, Vamac®)

ASTM D2000 Classification: EE

Temperature Range:

 -40°C to +163°C (-40°F to +325°F)

 Properties

Ethylene acrylate is a terpolymer of ethylene and methyl acrylate with the addition of a small amount of carboxylated curing monomer. Ethylene acrylate rubber is not to be confused with polyacrylate rubber (ACM).

AEM has excellent resistance to high temperatures, hot mineral oil, fluids, UV and weathering. The low temperature flexibility and mechanic properties are also good but it isn’t recommended for use with Ketones, Fuels and Brake Fluids.
