Properties

Natural Rubber sponge has a unique cell structure when compared to most other blown rubber sponges. When blown you get an Open Cell structure composed of connected cells that allow air or gas to pass through when compressed.

This sponge structure offers good compression set characteristics, and typically rebounds faster than closed cell sponges. We offer a range of materials from soft to extra firm and these can be classed VO fire rated or with Cryogenic insulation options.

Applications

Applications include Expansion joints, gap fillers, cushioning, vibration absorption, and non-skid padding. It also used as die ejection packing in steel rule, rotary and Class A dies, Drum gaskets and applications where the material is sewn in (Eg: A strap on a handbag).
