416 – Epichlorohydrin Sponge (ECH)

Constant High:    +150°C                 Intermittent High:           +175°C

 

Properties and Applications

Epichlorohydrin Closed Cell Rubber sponge is used most often for automotive gasket applications due to its ability to handle continuous temperatures of 150°C and because it has excellent resistance to Ozone, Sunlight, Oxidation and to swell from contact with alcohols, halogenated solvents, Hydrocarbons and other miscellaneous solvents.

It is good to use for Seals, Gaskets or Vibration dampening and is an excellent replacement for Nitrile, Neoprene or Acrylic where higher temperatures are required.
